Prague, Vienna, Budapest: three of the most important cities in the glorious Austro-Hungarian empire, and three of the best places you can visit to experience the unique charm of Central Europe. Located very close to each other, but profoundly different, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest offer a multi-layered experience you can hardly find on any other European itinerary. The three capitals are very conveniently situated just a few hours from each other.

DAY 1:  ARRIVAL to Praha

Arrival to Praha according to the flight schedule, transfer to the hotel, meeting with travel office local representative to check all points of your itinerary

DAY 2:  PRAHA  guided tour

In the morning get ready for more exploring the capital of the Czech Republic, which has been rated as the most beautiful city of Europe!  During today’s city sightseeing tour of Prague, you will discover all highlights of the city. The Old Town, founded in the 10th century, is a matrix of twisting cobblestone streets that lead into Prague’s Old Town Square. Architectural treasures from every century have been preserved to create an enchanting blend of history. The square is framed by the Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock, which was built in the Middle Ages and reconstructed in the 16th century. At every full hour between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. you can watch the procession of the 12 apostles passing by Charles Bridge. It is the oldest preserved Gothic bridge in the city, build in the years 1357 – 1407 under Charles IV, which connects the Old Town with the Lesser Town. On the Old Town end, there is the Church of the Knights of the Cross on the right side and the facade of the Church of St. Saviour, a part of the Clementinum, the former Jesuit College. The Old Town Bridge Tower from the 14th century is said to be the most beautiful Gothic gateway in Central Europe. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. In the afternoon, free time for individual visits or shopping. You can visit the Prague Castle „Hradcany”, which is the largest ancient castle in the world or take a boat cruise on the Vltava River. You will enjoy dinner at a typical Prague beer restaurant.

DAY 3:  PRAHA –  day at leisure,  optional excursions

Vienna – the imperial architecture, the lavish palaces, and the incredible museums of the Austrian capital are sure to take your breath away.   We start with a guided tour to visit Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Hapsburgs. For those who have been to Versailles, you may experience deja vu, as these two residences are very similar. Hofburg Palace (the home of the Hapsburgs) and the Kaisergruft (the crypt that holds the remains of the Hapsburgs) are the next stops.   Afternoon in Vienna city center touring the area around Stephensplatz. Go inside Stephensdom and climb the tower for some of the best views over Vienna. Walk down   Graben – a famous shopping street, and make sure you visit  Demel, famous for its gourmet chocolate and desserts. Color your day by having a slice of the world-famous Sacher Torte at Café  Sacher and have an early dinner, it is time to go to the opera! The Vienna Opera is one of the premier spots in the world to watch the opera and tickets are sold for just a few euros…the perfect opportunities to tour this beautiful building and watch a world-class opera performance in Europe.

DAY 6:  VIENNA  Kunsthistorisches Museum, Belvedere Palace, diner by Heuriger

The Kunsthistorisches Museum is home to works of art by Vermeer, Caravaggio, Titian, and Raphael. The interior of the museum is just as impressive as the artwork. After a leisurely lunch, tour the Belvedere Palace- place to see artwork by Gustav Klimt. From the Belvedere Palace, it is a long tram ride out of the heart of Vienna to the Vienna Woods. Now you will be on the outskirts of Vienna and your tour of Vienna will end with a truly authentic Viennese experience. Dine at a Heuriger –  wine garden serving homemade wine and meals of traditional Viennese foods.
